ToneAmp
The ToneAmp is a compact tone amplifier used to identify cable pairs (tagging) and locate accessible and inaccessible cable impairments such as:
- Split pairs
- Crossed pairs
- Shorted pairs
- Pair grounds
- Sheath grounds
The ToneAmp has narrow filters for 577Hz pair identification and 987Hz fault location. A Wide Band option allows the ToneAmp to work with other frequencies from 60Hz to 3kHz.
The ToneAmp has up to 100db of gain for use in both pair identification and fault location.
The ToneAmp is used with a tone probe for pair identification or a tone coil for fault location.
The ToneAmp kit includes the ToneAmp, tone coil, carry bag, and 4 AA batteries.
The ToneAmp typically operates for approximately 40 hours on a set of alkaline batteries.
The ToneAmp is an ideal companion to the TriTone generator for all tone applications. |
